Located just southeast of the Yonge/Bloor intersection in Toronto is CHAZ Yorkville. This development by 45 Charles Ltd is slowly rising to prominence on mostly residential Charles Street, which once felt tucked-away, just two blocks south of Bloor Street, but on which in the past five years we've seen many new large-scale developments rise up including BSN and Casa at the west end and the X condo towers at the east end. CHAZ is the latest project to tower over Charles Street, and is distinctive for its shape and some of its features.

CHAZ Yorkville is designed by Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects and features an 8-sided glass clad tower rising to 47 storeys above a 5-storey limestone podium. Earlier this year, we gave you a tour of CHAZ Yorkville, showing off the tower's magnificent views. As CHAZ Yorkville is full of 45° angles, no view is a bad view as residents will have views looking around and between the neighbours, like Casa, pictured below.

Construction has been progressing very quick at CHAZ Yorkville, and most importantly has now produced the building's signature on the skyline, the protruding box which will contain the CHAZ Club. Over 30 storeys in the air, this two-level space will be the residents' lounge and party suite that will feature panoramic views of Toronto's skyline, with plenty of features to entertain guests such as a demonstration-style cooking area and outdoor terrace.

Units at CHAZ Yorkville feature 9' ceilings with floor to ceiling windows, and range between 400 square feet bachelor suites to 2,500 square feet penthouses. Among the many other amenities for those living at CHAZ Yorkville there will be a fitness centre, a state-of-the-art sauna room, and plenty of indoor/outdoor patio space on the landscaped grounds. An electronic games room is a unique amenity in this project.
