We recently stopped by CHAZ Yorkville Condos, a 47-storey condominium tower by developer 45 Charles Ltd and project manager Edenshaw Homes Ltd. The first part of our tour featured views of the building's interiors as they continue to develop into their final form. if you haven't checked out our first instalment, we recommend following this link before proceeding. The Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects-designed development on Charles Street east of Yonge has been steadily rising since construction cleared the five-storey podium in late 2013. CHAZ now stands 19 storeys tall, and we now have a better idea of the views residents will move in to next year.

From CHAZ's 17th floor, the views of the immediate neighbourhood are unobstructed except for the west side facing CASA at 33 Charles Street. The unconventionally angled floorplate of CHAZ does offer unobstructed views for corner units which look between neighbouring buildings. To the northwest we can see CASA's balconies framing the image below on the far left, while the brutalist 51-storey Manulife Centre alongside Bazis' Crystal Blu and Pemberton's Uptown Residences dominates the centre .

In the middle right of the image above, Great Gulf Homes' 75-storey One Bloor East project can be seen rising into the Bloor-Yorkville skyline.  A closer look is provided below.

In the image below, Cresford's CASA II is in its early stages of construction directly north of CHAZ, with Casa II's garage floors recently snowed upon. To the immediate right we can see the site for CASA III which will replace the local post office.

To the northeast, the mid-sized office buildings at Bloor and Church rise the lower buildings of Hayden Street.

Further to the east, the recently completed Couture Condominium can be seen in the centre, with X Condos to the right. Just peeking out from behind the mid-century rental tower on the far right is X Condos' sister project, X2.

To the southwest, FIVE Condos can be seen rising, with Nicholas Residences topped off just beside Casa's balconies.

To the south, the highrise rental towers of the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood rise to varying heights. As CHAZ continues to grow, more of the city will present itself from the upper floors - a sight we look forward to returning to in the coming months.
