Urban Design Concepts for the Entertainment District

What is the background of this proposal? Did the city commission the plan, or perhaps the BIA?

As you can see from the presentation, these proposals are pretty impressive and will have a huge impact on that part of the city.

Ok, Ive answered my own question...when I first clicked the link I got a direct download of the pdf presentation, but the second time I was directed to a website that explains it all..

I hope they "get it done", cause this redevelopment initiative will bring some world class flavour to the city that's long overdue. Some of the initiatives can be implemented in the near term, whereas many require exhuastive planning and consultation. I hope the development team doesn't stumble along the way....stays on track and delivers.

Yes this should really help the area out.
Unfortunately I think it's a very long term plan - even the short term measures so I wouldn't expect to see work begin any time soon.
