Many of us are familiar with the Queen Street Viaduct, a steel truss bridge which carries Queen Street traffic over the Don River. Built in 1911 by Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company of Darlington, England, the bridge was updated in 1996 with a public art by Eldon Garnet, featuring the clock and the phrase "this river I step in is not the river I stand in" we all recognize today. We are given a night time view of this bridge and a passing streetcar in today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Empty Quarter.
