Ryerson's Department of Architectural Science continues its 2014-2015 lecture series tonight with a talk from Andrew King, Design Principal for Canada with Cannon Design. The talk accompanies the current exhibition in Ryerson's Paul H. Cocker Gallery.

Andrew King, who has practiced and taught across Canada and Europe, has been recognized with a number of international design awards as well as the Canada Council for the Arts Prix de Rome, two Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence and two American Institute of Architecture Progressive Architecture (P/A) Awards in 2012.

Currently, King leads teams in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal and is supervising projects domestically as well as in Asia. Cannon Design's Capillano University Film School for Cannon Design was awarded a 2010 Canadian Architect Magazine Award of Excellence and its Wilfred Laurier University Sports Centre was awarded a 2012 AIA P/A Award of Excellence.
 King also spearheads his own acclaimed design and research initiative, AK A, for over twenty years.
