It has been a little while since we last checked in on the construction progress of Metropia, Bazis, and Plaza's Exhibit Residences, a 32-storey, Rosario Varacalli-designed condominium tower now rising on Bloor Street west of Avenue Road, and across from the Royal Ontario Museum. At the time, work was under way on the ground floor of the building. In the time since, construction has progressed to the third level of the complicated podium.

The development's podium levels will feature an 8-storey above grade parking garage, allowing condominium residents of the first eight floors to access their cars without ever having to take stairs or an elevator. Like most podiums in modern high-rise developments, the special formwork for these complicated levels is custom built, so that the podium levels will take a good deal longer to build than the repetitive tower floor plates to follow above.

The Bloor-Yorkville area will be seeing a great deal of new high-rise construction over the next several years, and while many new developments in the neighbourhood will inevitably have their views blocked out by future development, Exhibit's advantageous location immediately north of the protected Royal Ontario Museum means that south-facing residents of Exhibit should have permanent skyline views to the south.

The growing podium is much more apparent from the rear of the property, abutting a Green P surface parking lot which occupies a tract of land between Bloor Street and Prince Arthur Avenue to the north. This angle is the only one where multiple facades are currently visible, and this angle shows that Exhibit is being built out to the lot line, leaving just a laneway between its construction site and Museum Residences to the west.
