Following up on a ribbon cutting ceremony last week attended by Prime Minister Harper, federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau, Mayoral candidates John Tory and Olivia Chow, as well as Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Toronto's newest museum is set to open its doors tomorrow, September 18th 2014. The Aga Khan Museum and adjacent Ismaili Centre were designed by architects Fumihiko MakiCharles Correa Associates and Moriyama & Teshima, in a modern style that pays homage to classic Islamic architecture. In today's Photo of the Day, we are given a view of the new museum's exterior as seen on last week's ribbon cutting day.
