Occupancies continue to transform Cityzen and Fernbrook HomesWaterlink at Pier 27 from a construction site into a community. Though work on the architectsAlliance-designed development—comprised of four 11-storey buildings joined in pairs by two three-storey skybridges—is still ongoing, the east pair is largely complete and now taking in residents.

The east pair has just a few finishing touches left to take care of before construction crews can walk away from a finished job.

In the image below, we can see two workers on a hydraulic bucket lift applying finishing touches to the west facade of the easternmost block.

Going in a closer look, you can see that these workers are finishing up the exterior trim details around some second storey windows.

Besides the skybridge connection, the two east buildings are also connected at ground level via a glassed-in walkway. A similar walkway will also soon connect the two west buildings of the development, which are topped-off but still busy with construction activity.

The large concrete wall on the east side of the development was designed to provide a safety buffer between the condominium units and the active Redpath sugar facility next door. This precast concrete portion of the wall has been in place for several months now, and recently the ground level area of it was clad with charcoal bricks.
