The historic Deerhurst Resort has been a fixture in Muskoka for over a century, providing Ontarians with a serene lakefront getaway on the Canadian Shield, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With the long weekend upon us, Muskoka is on a lot of people's minds. Connecting the Golden Horseshoe with Muskoka, Highway 400 can be pretty rough on a long weekend such as this one, but arriving in a place where you don't have to worry about a thing can melt that stress right away. Skyline Hotels & Resorts is bringing a new condominium development to Deerhurst Resort called Lakeside Lodge. Designed by Richard Wengle, Lakeside Lodge takes the best of condominium living and blends it with the location, style and tranquility of the Peninsula Lake waterfront.

To help potential buyers envision life at Lakeside Lodge, Deerhurst has set up a furnished 843 square-foot, two-bedroom model suite, staged by Matt Davis of DesignAgency. Known as the "Beaumaris", the suite meshes contemporary surroundings with familiar Muskoka-themed touches.

The Beaumaris model’s layout features a kitchen offering ample storage space, plus a built-in desk that can serve as a music station, computer station or any number of other uses. The model also contains laminate flooring, stainless steel kitchen appliances, stone countertops and smooth ceilings, all of which come standard.

The development will feature a selection of DesignAgency-appointed amenities, including a games room, an owner’s lounge and an outdoor swimming pool. Residents will also have easy access to the amenities of Deerhurst Resort, including spa treatments, winter activities, casual and fine dining, entertainment, tennis courts, hiking trails and golf courses. In addition, purchasers receive a complimentary Initiation Fee to SkyLife Club (valued at $25,000), entitling them members-only access at Skyline Hotels & Resorts properties.

Lakeside marks the first new condominium offering from Deerhurst Resort since the late 1980s. Units range in size from studios at just over 400 square feet to three-bedrooms at 1,200 square feet, and in price from $169,900 to over $550,000. A rental program is being offered to help with carrying costs.
