The mercury is rising across the GTA as the summer approaches, and with countless residential and commercial developments as well as infrastructure projects under way in the region, the headlines, dataBase files and Forum posts keep pouring in. With May now in the past, we take a look back at the previous month's top news headlines, dataBase files and Forum threads from the month of May.

News

It's no surprise that our Mirvish+Gehry proposal update story was the most popular of the month; the development will alter how we see our city for years to come. Meanwhile, our trip to the top of Aura tour took the second spot for May, but Great Gulf's One Bloor East is starting to close the readership gap as that 75-storey tower grows taller.

May saw another solid month of activity on our Forum, and the most popular thread of the month was that of One Bloor East, while second place went to the soon-to-open final phase of the Southcore Financial Centre and the adjacent Delta Toronto hotel.

Remaining at the top of the list, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada has once again received the most attention out of any of our dataBase files. Second place goes to an early version of Daniels Waterfront, a proposed redevelopment of the Guvernment night club. The third spot goes to One Bloor East, which has managed to land a top three spot in the news, Forum and dataBase categories for the month of May.
