Toronto got its first taste of a sporting icon in June of 1989, when the SkyDome officially opened to much fanfare. Since renamed to 'Rogers Centre' the iconic stadium remains a major Toronto landmark, and its large retractable roof still impresses fans even a quarter century after opening. Today's Photo of the Day, showing an aerial view of the stadium during a Toronto Blue Jays game, comes to us from Oscar Flores via the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool.
