Many people know Mississauga as Toronto's suburban sister to the west. Actually one of Canada's largest cities in its own right, Mississauga has been doing a lot of growing up recently with a massive expansion of its central Square One Shopping Centre under way, Sheridan's growing college campus just to it's west, and the recent construction of Absolute World condos which have won international acclaim. Not as many people remember however that in amongst Mississauga's suburban subdivisions are the original farming villages first settled in the 1800s. One of those, Streetsville, still maintains much of its historic charm amidst all the encroaching modernity.
A new master-planned community that reflects Streetsville's traditional homes is coming to the Mississauga Road and Eglinton area, bringing 65 three-storey townhomes to an underdeveloped area just south of Streetsville. Dunpar Homes' Heritage Gate Mississauga Road had a successful grand opening last month, selling 30% of the homes right off the bat. Homes at Heritage Gate come with features like 9’6” ceiling heights, rooftop terraces, and even private elevators.
The homes come in four collections, each coming in different styles, sizes, and layouts to suit the tastes and needs of different buyers. The Victorian architecture-influenced stone and brick exteriors of each collection come in different shades, giving each collection a unique feel.
The Mississauga Collection features semi-detached homes of up to 1880 square feet starting at $649,990. Homes in the Mississauga Collection resemble the kind found in established neighbourhoods with an emphasis on back yard living.
Next up is the Sawmill Collection, which comes in sizes up to 2,150 square feet, with prices starting from $809,990.
The Heritage Collection comes in sizes of up to 2,340 square feet with prices starting from $799,990.
