Exhibit Residences, which aptly and elegantly derives its name and crystalline form from its southern neighbour, the ROM, is continuing to make construction progress. The 32-storey, Rosario Varacalli-designed condominium project has recently achieved a major milestone in reaching street level, and steel and concrete will soon start rising above grade.

Like many construction projects in the region, an exceptionally brutal winter slowed down the site's progress, but with the mercury now rising, construction on MetropiaBazis and Plaza's Exhibit Residences is picking up speed, and work is now underway on the first of the tower's 32 floors.

The site of Exhibit is quite unique, sitting atop an active subway tunnel for the western portion of the TTC's Line 1. These conditions have made for a complicated excavation and foundation phase, which is why the project's designers and engineers included the development's eight-storey parking garage above ground at the rear of the property, instead of the typical below-grade parking structure found in most new residential developments. This will allow many residents of the tower living below the eighth floor to access their vehicles without ever having to wait for an elevator or take the stairs. Residents of the building will also have access to an outdoor terrace which will sit atop the above-grade garage.

Once construction is complete, the stacked four-cube structure will offer panoramic views in all directions from its spacious wrap-around balconies. Other features include a bar, several lounges, a fitness gallery, yoga studio and a cool down lounge. In addition to the building's amenities, residents will be put within walking distance of some of Toronto's most luxurious dining and shopping destinations.
