With construction ramping up on the first two phases of construction, Urban Capital recently launched River City Phase III, or RC3. The third phase of the Saucier + Perrotte Architects-designed development will rise to a height of 28 storeys from the land located immediately south of the first two phases, separated by the elevated Richmond and Adelaide offramps and the new Underpass Park below. The third phase of the project is set to add an additional 330 condominium and loft units to the complex's almost 600 existing units.

Like the first two phases of the development, RC3 brings a bold architectural statement to the table. A dark façade juxtaposed against bright white box sections continues the language of phases 1 and 2, while differentiating itself with drawer-like protrusions that create a unique push/pull effect.

Following up on the success of Urban Capital's micro-condo development, Smart House, units at RC3 will be equipped with Smart House-style kitchens, developed by AyA Kitchens to maximize the functionality and efficiency of each suite.

The development will offer residents a wide range of interior amenities, including a 2,000 square-foot gym, fitness and yoga centre, a double height common room equipped with a show kitchen, reading room with beanbag chairs, a tool-equipped hobby room and even a children's play area and guest suite. Urban Capital has also brought on designer Graham Hill to design the interiors of 20 exclusive units, to be known as the "Graham Hill Collection." Outdoor amenity spaces will complement their surroundings with design by acclaimed landscape architects Claude Cormier + Associés, including a sloped lawn as well as a gold-tiled lap pool.

We will keep a close eye on this development as details continue to emerge. In the meantime, additional information and renderings can be found in our RC3 dataBase listing, linked below.
