Toronto's new Flexity Outlook streetcars will soon begin to gradually replace the CLRV and ALRV streetcars which have become a fixture in the city since being introduced in the 1970s and 1980s. But when the CLRV came onto the scene in 1977, it's predecessor was just as much an icon.  The PCC or Presidents' Conference Committee Streetcar remained part of the fleet for another 18 years after the first CLRV went into service, and after it was retired, two vehicles were spared to be used by the TTC for tours, charters and other special events. Forum member 'BB ON' captured this cool snapshot of PCC No. 4549 picking up passengers for a free run between Woodbine and Bingham Loop as a thank you to local residents for putting up with heavy construction along Kingston Rd.
