Toronto has a rich industrial history, but many if not most architectural relics from our days as a major Great Lakes hub have been lost to time and wiped away by redevelopment. Not all redevelopments of industrial sites ignore their sites' history though, and projects like the Distillery District and the Evergreen Brickworks have proven that adaptive re-use of historical factory blocks can support residential, commercial and recreational uses. In today's Photo of the Day, Forum member 'krooj' brings us a monochrome shot of afternoon foot traffic through the Distillery District on an early-Spring afternoon.
