Toronto's ongoing transformation makes for some pretty dramatic before and after images. Our ongoing Throwback Thursday series compares recent photos with similar angles shot at the onset of our current building boom. While many of the comparisons depict a stark contrast, today's edition of Throwback Thursday presents some more subtle changes to the cityscape.

On May 8th of 2008, the crane of the Bay Adelaide Centre's west tower could be seen peeking out above the surrounding rooftops. Fast forward to the present, and Bay Adelaide West is complete, while the historic structure on the lower right is now adorned with advertising for Freed's Sixty Colborne, a development set to replace the surface parking lot in the image's foreground.
