The Architectural Science department at Ryerson University has been hosting various guest lectures throughout this past school year. Closing off the 2013-2014 Lecture Series is a prominent landscape architect, Chris Matthews. Working with Michael Van Vakenburgh Associates, Chris is based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from England, he earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University. Chris is a design leader with over eighteen years of experience of landscape architecture. 

One of his most recent projects was working with the Olympic Park Legacy Company. Shortly after the Olympic Games in London, he was involved with the transformation of the 2012 Olympic Games site to a vibrant park and amenity space for East London. He has also worked with the Olympic Delivery Authority for the Broxbourne White Water Centre, and Harvard University's Common Spaces Master Plan.
