There seems to be a striking visual metaphor present in this photo by Matt M S, with the plane and the modern, monolithic structures that compose the Toronto-Dominion Centre. The Mies van der Rohe-designed towers where the first major pieces of modern architecture to be built in Toronto and a huge risk for the TD Bank. The plane in many ways is indicative of how these buildings initiated the rise of modern architecture and design in the city and in Canada.
