It was one year ago that the first on-street test was conducted with the TTC's new Bombardier-built 'Flexity Outlook' streetcars as it rolled from the TTC Hillcrest yard south to Bathurst Station, and then back. Off-service running of the new vehicles is ongoing, and the modern low-floor LRVs have been spotted back on the streets recently by UT Forum members 'JasonParis' and 'the lemur'.

Plans call for the new streetcar to serve the 510 Spadina line first, with operations slated for later this year. As production vehicles continue to arrive, more streetcar routes will begin to be serviced by the new streetcars. By 2019, the entire Toronto streetcar network is expected to be served by the new vehicles as well.

With these new vehicles back on the streets for driver training, we should see even more sightings over the next several months… stay tuned!
