The construction of the Eglinton-Crosstown LRT is an exciting development for transit users in this city, and thanks to a cool new tool on Google Maps, we can now keep tabs on the location of the tunnel boring machines (TBMs) Dennis and Lea as they bore their paths eastwards along Eglinton. The TBM Tracker is a Google Maps plug-in, which you can access by following this link.

The map shows not only the last charted positions of the TBMs, but also the locations of launch and extraction shafts and future maintenance/storage facilities. Currently the TBMs are at the approximate site of the future Caledonia Road station.

UrbanToronto will provide updates on the Eglinton-Crosstown LRT construction whenever it hits interesting milestones.
