Although a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle Yonge-Dundas Square, Dundas Square Gardens is the name of Easton's Group's newest condominium development. Currently the site of a Hilton Garden Inn, the aging hotel and former office building will be demolished for the 47-storey Dundas Square Gardens project. The structure is designed by Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects, with contemporary interiors designed by renowned Munge Leung

The condo is one of a trio of projects set to transform the intersection of Dundas and Jarvis over the next several years, along with Pace Condos currently under construction on the southwest corner and a future Ryerson University development in the parking lot in the northwest corner.

Steve Gupta, Chairman and CEO of The Easton's Group, wants to do more than just enter to neighbourhood by building a condo, he wants to make a positive contribution to the greater community. While this sizable development will appeal to many with its central location, it will be of particular interest to those attending nearby Ryerson University. With that in mind, the Easton Group will be donating $1,000 to Ryerson University for every unit sold. In addition, Steve Gupta will be personally topping up that donation to $1 million.

"Our donation seems like a perfect fit and compliment to the commitment we're making with Dundas Square Gardens" said Gupta. To recognize the donation by Steve Gupta and The Easton’s Group, a lecture theatre located on the first floor of the Ryerson Ted Rogers School of Management Building will be named the Steve and Rashmi Gupta Lecture Theatre. With 500 seats, the theatre is the largest at Ryerson in which classes are taught, in addition to being the location for Ryerson’s most prestigious public events.

Dundas Square Gardens brings a total of 978 units within the 47-storey tower and the shorter 17-storey Garden Tower. The various roofs here will feature over 16,000 square feet of garden terraces, the most green space out of any current Toronto condominium developments. The largest terrace will be atop the Garden Tower, and amenities on this 18th floor terrace will include a pool and BBQ pit, lounging, conversation, and eating areas, while lower floor terraces will host more gardens, party, and relaxation spaces.
