Tucked away on Davenport Avenue at McMurrich Street, a new condominium tower is rising in Toronto's posh Yorkville neighbourhood. The Yorkville Condos from Lifetime Developments is getting attention for the unique cladding treatment which differentiates this development from any others nearby: copper and gold-coloured extrusions will mark the slim and elegant 31-storey tower designed by Wallman Architects.

The tower's podium features black mullions and spandrel panels framed by copper-brown fins. A gold section will pop out on some upper levels. The total effect differentiates The Yorkville from Toronto's more common grey or green clad towers. Interiors are still a ways away, and have been created by Tomas Pearce Interior Design, aiming to reflect the refined elegance of the eponymous neighbourhood which surrounds the tower.

The Yorkville is situated short blocks in every direction from fine dining and shopping. Rosedale and Bay subway stations, and the mid-city transit crossroads at Yonge and Bloor are all a short walk away.
