As part of Ryseron University's 2013/14 Architectural Science lecture series, architect Jan Jongert of Superuse Studios will be taking the stage in the ARC200 room (The Pit) on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 6:30PM.

Jan Jongert, born in Amsterdam, 1971, studied in Delft and graduated in 2003 as Architect from the Academy of Architecture Rotterdam. As cofounder of Superuse Studios in Rotterdam he designs interiors, buildings, and masterminds strategies to facilitate the transition to a sustainable society. Jan is focused on developing tools and processes, and realizes projects that empower local exchange and production, ultimately seen as an alternative to transporting our resources, products and components around the globe. Jan Jongert specialized in the behaviour of flows in interior, industrial, and urban environments. Key projects include Villa Welpeloo (2009), Recyclicity MSP (2010) and various webplatforms (Superuse.org, Cyclifier.org, and Harvestmap.org). Jan currently holds the position of Lector at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
