Vaughan, Ontario-based developer Empire Communities was awarded two Overseas Property Professional (OPP) Awards of Excellence at an event held in London England's Museum of Natural History last week. The event was hosted by the OPP, a leading global business information and media group that provides news, information, insight, data and connections for businesses in the international property sector.

Empire Communities has a rich history of developing communities in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. From high rise condominiums in Toronto to luxury estate homes in Uxbridge the company is involved in all sectors of the new home building industry including commercial, industrial, low-rise and high-rise residential, luxury new homes and affordable housing.

Empire received the Silver Award for Best Developer - North America, and a Gold for Best Marketing Campaign. Both awards were in recognition of Empire's landmark waterfront community Eau Du Soleil. The complex, located by the shores of Humber Bay, will consist of 63 and 49 storey conjoined towers designed by Zeidler Partnership Architects and Richmond Architects, and will offer scenic waterfront views and luxury amenities.

On hand to receive the awards were Empire’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Andrew Guido and Senior Vice President of Sales, Dan Flomen. “We are extremely honoured to be acknowledged by a global organization such as the OPP Group. To be in the company of some of the world’s most renowned developers is an outstanding achievement for Empire. We are so proud of the work that we have done on Eau Du Soleil and winning awards in these distinguished categories makes it all the more gratifying,” said Mr. Flomen.
