Have any concerns you want to voice about the proposal to expand Billy Bishop Toronto Centre Airport into the lake to allow jets to land there? Any questions or suggestions you want to raise on the issue? If that's the case, then attending the City of Toronto's town hall meeting on the situation might be something you'll want to make room for this evening.

This public consultation will be held at Exhibition Place in the Direct Energy Centre, Salon 105. There will be a drop-in period from 6 to 7pm, with presentations and discussions being held from 7 to 9pm. The purpose of the meeting is to determine how changes to the airport would impact Toronto, especially in regards to the communities by the waterfront and the ongoing waterfront revitalization project.

The City also hopes to gain further insight on its citizens' stance in regards to these issues:

  • aviation noise, safety and infrastructure
  • economic impacts
  • land use and community impacts
  • marine navigation
  • public health impacts
  • transportation impact

The City of Toronto wants all sorts of feedback and commentary about this important issue. More information can be obtained and a survey can be completed on this website
