As space becomes more of a premium with the massive influx of skyscraping residential towers in our core, more and more developers are seeing the potential in constructing more modestly sized buildings in the surrounding neighbourhoods that are still close to transit and cultural amenities. Terrace on the Danforth, located where Danforth Ave meets Warden, has just reached its final 7-storey height.

The crane arrived onsite here in July of last year and has just recently topped off. The condominium now awaits its cladding. Developed by Liberty Development Corporation, Terrace is all about connecting its future residents to the outdoors, promoting its proximity to the nearby lakeshore and walking trails, in addition to offering large balconies or "Terraces" as well as a communal Terrace Garden on the seventh floor. At ground level the building will be adding new retail on Danforth, a convenience for the new residents as well as for those already living in the neighbourhood.

Designed by SMV Architects, Terrace still has quite a bit of work to go to completion, and we will keep you updated as the building recieves its precast and glass skin. In the meantime, check out the dataBase listing below or join the discussion in our Forum for more information. Below is a rendering of what we can expect from the final product.
