Nine exclusive residences are rising up near Queen Street East. Tucked in and away from that quickly gentrifying retail strip on the corner of Colgate and Verral Avenue, are the Leslieville Lofthouses from Urban Fabric Development Inc. The "lofthouses" take a modern approach to design courtesy of George Popper Architect: these townhomes are for the modern, bustling city of Toronto, but they retain a home-driven feel. The units range in size from 1,085 to 1,700 square feet, and feature 9ft to 10ft high ceilings.

The townhomes transition up from the houses along Colgate and Verral to the neighbourhood's several trendy factory-to-loft conversions across the block. Leslieville Lohthouses are complete with an exterior of dark brown brick and glass balconies. Thanks to UrbanToronto member anonymous0024, we can see from new photos that construction is almost complete. Builders are aiming for a June 2013 completion date.
