There's a lot going on behind the scenes lately at E Condos, a project that will make a major difference when complete at Yonge and Eglinton. The Bazis, Metropia and RioCan joint venture will bring two landmark condominium towers to Toronto's central Midtown intersection along with loads of amenities for the residents and high-design shopping and services for all at its base.

The Yonge and Eglinton area is already one of the most sought after in Toronto. There's something for everyone here with tree-lined streets featuring single family homes, good schools, and churches all in strolling distance, while Yonge and Eglinton themselves both offer tons of shopping and eating opportunities in all directions. Right across the street from E Condos are the cinemas at SilverCity along with the rest of the offerings at the Yonge-Eglinton Centre. Under all of this is fast north-south transit via the Yonge subway line of course, and soon east-west travel will be a breeze too on the new Eglinton Crosstown line.

If you're not already a purchaser in the building but you've been dreaming of the spectacular cantilevered pools, then Bazis has a promotion on now that can help it happen for you. Instead of the usual 20% down within 12 to 18 months of purchase, Bazis has made arrangements with the Guarantee Company of North America. Potential purchasers who qualify for a bond with GCNA may purchase with a 5% deposit payment for 48 months. The bond requires a balance of 15% to be paid after 48 months, and another 5% on occupancy. The balance comes on closing of course when your mortgage kicks in.

Of the building itself, the Rosario Varacalli architecture will tell people they've arrived somewhere very special. Inside, the lobby and amenity spaces have been calculated by Mike Niven to drive home the same point: this is a home for exacting professionals where every detail has been considered to maximize their enjoyment. Extensive recreation, relaxation, and entertainment facilities both inside and out promise to evoke those of high-end resort hotels. Finishes in the suites are designed to impress too.

In preparation for construction on the project, the project is moving through the municipal approvals process. It will head to City Council in June, while also requiring TTC and Metrolinx approvals as E Condos will have direct connections to the Yonge Subway and the Eglinton Crosstown line. Once the regulatory dotted lines have been signed, the project will go to tender later in the summer with construction expected to commence in the late fall or early winter.

While the process to get shovels in the ground proceeds, construction drawings are being prepared for the luxe development. Residents can expect to occupy their suites in 2017.
