As the rapid pace of development in the heart of the city continues to ripple outwards, we are now seeing the reshaping of some of our oldest neighbourhoods, and intensification in areas which before half a dozen years ago had remained untouched for ages. One of the areas we've seen particular growth in is West Queen West. Today we have some new photos of an Urbancorp and Plazacorp joint-venture project making its mark at the apex of West Queen West, King West and and Liberty Village. Edge on Triangle Park is located on Lisgar street just south of Queen, and just steps from this area's most prominent cultural hub, The Drake Hotel. This uniquely-designed set of conjoined 19 and 22-storey boutique condo towers has been under construction for many months now and has reached about half of it's final height. Check out some recent photos below.

This Tact Architecture-designed  project comes with some unique features that should set it apart from some of the other mid-rise projects underway in the area. First of all the complex features a rather novel layout in that most suites are afforded windows on both east and west elevations of the building, letting the light shine straight through your condo. The site also has the rare bonus of being located right alongside a park, so the project's name is no misnomer! In case you're not interested in sharing your green space with the public however, there will be a landscaped courtyard between the two towers.

The building also features a decent number of indoor amenities. The "Edge Club" will feature a fully furnished party room with wet bar and caterer's kitchen. If you're in the mood to pump iron or get in touch with your inner power there will be a state of the art fitness centre and yoga/medatation room.

The rendering above shows of course that the project still has a bit of work to go until its completion. We will keep you up to date with more photos soon. Want to learn more about the project in the meantime? Check out the dataBase page linked below, or join the discussion in our Forum.
