Nighttime lights provide an opportunity to capture some pretty spectacular images of the city's landmarks. In this Photo of the Day, posted to our Toronto Skyline Forum thread by member lucci (with photo credit to ronnie.yip on Flickr), we get an interesting perspective of the CN Tower at night as seen from atop the iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Once the Toronto skyline's dominant feature and tallest building in the British Empire, the Royal York has long since ceded its title to the CN Tower. The warm red glow of the hotel's sign contrasts with the black of the night sky and the glowing white light that illuminates the tower.
