Bordering the entertainment and financial districts, the Living Shangri-La Toronto Hotel and Condo promises to be an urban icon and destination. Next week, the glass podium and tower will be open for public viewing during a three-day event that mixes design, food, drinks, art and music.

The Open House will feature the hotel's bars, restaurants and amenities: The Bar, Bosk Restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Momofuku and the Miraj Hammam Spa. "Rising", the sculpture by Zhang Huan that stands 10 metres high by 19 metres long, resides at the University St. entrance. Musical interludes in the Lobby Lounge will feature Chantal Kreviazuk (Thursday, 7pm), Jarvis Church (Friday, 7pm) and Elise Legrow (Saturday, 3pm). 

Living Shangri-La Toronto Hotel and Condo Open House

The 66-storey glass tower sits on top of a two-storey glass atrium and houses a 5-star hotel on the first 17 floors, residences from floors 18-49 and private estates from floors 50-66.

The Living Shangri-La Toronto, 188 University Avenue, opens its doors Thursday to Saturday, October 25-27.
