The Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto is kicking off this year’s bulthaup lectures with an informative presentation by architect Burton Hamfelt. Hamfelt is principal of Amsterdam-based Burton Hamfelt Architectuur Stedebouw Prototypes (BHASP), an award-winning firm that has an impressive international portfolio.

Hamfelt’s lecture will cover an array of his firm’s projects, ranging from the compact social housing scheme of Tarling Estate in London to the innovative housing development designed for the CiBoGa district of Gronigen, Netherlands. Prior to establishing BHASP Hamfelt worked in a number of architectural and design offices, including Toronto-based Bruce Mau Design.

The lecture is being held on Tuesday, October 9 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the Daniels Faculty building, 230 College Street. All lectures are free and open to the public. For more information on this lecture and the full 2012-2013 bulthaup lecture series visit the Daniels website here.
