Forum members caltrane74, someMidTowner (Jack Landau) and waterscapes-guy have snapped some shots of the first crane erected for One Bloor East. Two cranes will do the heavy lifting for Great Gulf Homes' flagship condominium project. At 75 storeys, One Bloor East will dramatically change the uptown skyline, but may have competition from 50 Bloor Street West, should it be approved at its proposed 83-storeys rising above Holt Renfrew.

Meanwhile, UT Forum member Traynor pulled out Photoshop to estimate where the second crane will be at the site by doubling the first crane in waterscape-guy's image below. It cannot be long before that crane rises too. One Bloor East's two cranes?, image by waterscapes-guy, altered by Traynor

Toronto residents have become accustomed to seeing the city's skyline dotted with cranes over the last few years. There are more highrise projects under construction in Toronto than in any other city in North America by far. We can now add another to the list with One Bloor East!
