Tarion Warranty Corporation, a private corporation established in 1976 to serve as the Regulator of the new-home building industry in Ontario, has named The Daniels Corporation as the 2012 High-Rise Builder of the Year. The 2012 Tarion Awards of Excellence are determined by a comprehensive survey of more than 45,000 new-home buyers who took possession of a new home between October 1, 2010 and September 30, 2011. Questions assessed homeowner satisfaction with after-sales customer service. High-Rise Builder of the Year is open to builders with more than 100 high-rise possessions per year.

Daniels has been active in the Greater Toronto market for over two decades, having built more than 23,000 homes, apartments and condominiums. Some of their most recent projects in Toronto include the Festival Tower, One Cole, Paintbox Condos, One Park Place, One Park West and Cinema Tower. In response to receiving this award, Daniels' Executive Vice President Niall Haggart had this to say:
