Bordering the East Mall and Highway 427, Edilcan's One Valhalla Project is bringing a burst of new activitity to Etobicoke's east end. Developed by Edilcan Development Corp. and designed by a collaboration of Page + Steele /IBI Group Architects and E.R.A. Architects, the project is comprised of three towers. The first, seen under construction below, is 22 storeys while the second tower, marketed as "Thunderbird," is 35-storeys. The height of the third tower, originally proposed at 30- toreys, has yet to be finalized. There are also 68 two- and three-storey townhouses on the portion of the site closest to the East Mall.

Although the area is home to many high-rise apartments, there have been few recent additions to the neighbourhood, with most of the housing stock dating back to the area's development in the 1960s and early 1970s. One Valhalla, and its neighbouring condo projects to the south at Sherway Garden,s are changing this as developers take benefit of the area's good reputation, an abundance of amenities and easy access to the city's highway network and the TTC.
