Out with the sort-of-old and in with the new is today's Photo Of The Day. Taken by UrbanToronto Forum member Geekaroo, we see 45 Charles Street East, designed by the late prominent Toronto architect Macy Dubois, being torn down in preparation for the construction of CHAZ Yorkville condos.

The photo shows a pretty tight spot to take down a building of this size. The new CHAZ Yorkville is to going to partially emulate the design of the building currently being demolished. Here's a look at the proposed 47 storey tower:

CHAZ Yorkville Condos Toronto by Edenshaw Homes and 45 Charles Ltd

The developers are 45 Charles Ltd and Edenshaw Homes with design by Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects. Interiors are by Cecconi Simone with landscaping by Land Art Design. The developers are planning to achieve a LEED silver certification which would make this one of the "greenest" buildings in the city.

What do you think of our choice for today's Photo Of The Day?
