September is here and UrbanToronto is expecting the slower summer months to quickly be a distant memory. New project launches are set to explode. Let's start the month off with a new project being proposed for 43 Gerrard West at Bay Street. Currently a parking lot, the proposal is for a 50 storey condo tower with 640 residential units. The project would contain 2 levels of commercial space above 6 floors of underground parking. While that is all the info we have now, UrbanToronto forum member CanadianNational was able to mock up what a 50 storey box might look like at that location. We're certainly happy to see another parking lot bite the dust along Bay Street. Though you have to think the owners at The Liberties condos directly to the north will not be happy now that they will basically be hemmed in on all sides by massive towers. Let's hope the architecture will be something interesting. We will update once we have more information. In the meanwhile stay informed here
