Then. Yonge Street looking north from Ivor Road. February 7, 1931. Hoggs Hollow in the distance. A charming Yonge Street — one lane each way — and the radial car trackage on the left/west side of the street. The radial trackage remained buried until about 1966 when the roads department dug deeper than usual and finally removed it for good as part of a Yonge Street resurfacing. I was a witness to history there.  :) 

Now. May 2011. The pesky small hill in the left distance of the Then photo was removed at some point in the distant past.
