Today's Photo of the Day is of Lanterra Development's Burano, located on Bay Street north of College. The project, designed by architectsAlliance, appears to have topped off at its final height of 48-storeys, and is expected to be completed later this year. The photo illustrates the growing canyon-effect we see on Bay Street, which is only going to be further dramatized with the arrival of the Pemberton Group's U Condominiums, located a few blocks north at Bay and St. Mary.

While the exterior from this angle appears complete, upon closer inspection you notice that the balconies are completely open - we're guessing that Lanterra plans on having the glass installed on Burano at the same time that it will arrive for the neighborhing Murano towers, where residents have been without access to their balconies for quite some time.
