UrbanToronto members Mike In TO and Jasonzed have both trained their cameras on Burano Condominiums by Lanterra Developments over the last couple days, bringing us a number of angles on this very angular building. Last week we gave you a look at the north end, this week; from above, and from the south.

Mike In TO has a view from above Burano - or at least has a view from above for the moment - Burano's parallelogram-shaped floor plate design by architectsAlliance will eventually rise to 48 storeys. Meanwhile, the lot behind Burano was recently cleared for the reconstruction of Women's College Hospital.

Jasonzed meanwhile, feet planted firmly on the ground and looking northwest across Bay Street, caught this angle of the building. It shows that the tower now has cladding on one level, just our first hint of how the tower will turn out, while the podium, a reconstruction of the 1925 neo-gothic McLaughlin Motors Building, is awaiting the reapplication of the brick and stone that was saved when the building had to be taken down at the beginning stage of construction. E.R.A. Architects are responsible for the historical preservation of this component of the complex.
